Ohio Principal Evaluation System 2.0 (OPES 2.0)
Synopsis
This course is designed to acquaint the learner with the Ohio Principal Evaluation System (OPES). It was created to support educators looking to gain an understanding of the evaluation system, as well as to support evaluators of administrators through a review of OPES. NOTE: Completing the course does not allow for credentialing, which requires the in-person attendance of a training. By the end of the course, participants will
1. Analyze the Ohio Principal Standards and complete a self-assessment to understand the roles and responsibilities of an administrator
2. Examine the legislation, framework, and model that comprise the Ohio Principal Evaluation System 2.0
3. Participate in components of the evaluation process including writing a SMART goal, writing an evidence plan, and analyzing the rubric
