Course Overview

The Ohio Standards for Principals course is designed to acquaint or re-engage the learner with the Ohio Standards for Principals adopted in 2018.  You will be examining the Ohio Standards for Principals, which were revised in 2018 from the initial 2005 standards.  The intended audience for the course includes teachers, principals, school and districts leaders, higher education educators, and others.


Course Objectives

• Become familiar with the Ohio Standards for Principal Standards as evidenced by reflection and assessment.
• Learn how educational stakeholders can use the standards and reflect on awareness of standards in educational practice.
• Consider implications of the standards for one’s own practice through reflection and assessment.

Course Activities

Course contains eight modules with a variety of learning activities including the Ohio Standards for Principals, related resources, assessments and reflections.
